Stratocoustic

This is a shitty shot from my Cell phone of my new Travel guitar. It sounds like a plugged in Acoustic but plays like an electric and is almost as thin and light! The Best of both worlds really. I didn’t want to take my expensive Taylor to Europe because it’s too big to carry on and too fragile to risk checking into baggage. The ONLY way I would do it is if I had an $800 an up Calton Case to protect it. I don’t, so the guitar is staying home. So, I began investigating what would be a good guitar to take over there that wasn’t too expensive, I could carry on the plane and would do the job I needed it to do. I looked into these Little Fender’s but ultimately decided I would get a system for my electric guitar that adds acoustic saddles with acoustic guitar pickup elements built in. The system is the Graph Tech Ghost and does most indeed sound very impressive. So, living in the remote and musical gear limited state that I live in, I had to get it online. Long store short, it came a few days ago but I got the wrong size, didn’t have time to exchange for the right one so I sent it back for refund. I knew that I would go pick up one of these little Fender Stratocoustics and it would be fine. So this is what I’m taking! I’ll have a better pic up of this soon.

Hope everythings going well over there. If it’s not, remember, it’s always hard at first, in fact sometimes it REALLY sucks when you first get there, but then you’ll settle in and it’ll be great. So, if it’s not going the way you’d hoped, hang in there, have a good coffee, take some deep breaths, and remember…..God’s in charge and you’ll wake up tomorrow, still extremely talented, and not much else really matters. You’ll eat, you’ll sleep somewhere, and you’re learning a lot. You’re going to be so great!!! I just know you’re going to kick some serious ass over there. Take care my friend, and write if you get time and can afford those ridiculously high internet rates on your paltry earnings, after your dollars are converted to Euros. E
