Back in the USA

It’s good to be home although getting through customs at Washington DC’s Dulles International Airport was a complete and utter nightmare! Our customs situation is the flat out most ignorant by a factor of 100 of any of the 10 countries that I visited in Europe. No one spoke decent english either so it was difficult to understand the convoluted un-common sense instructions given by the Foreigners who work for US Homeland Security or US Customs. It’s par for the course at this point in the land of the Slaves, home of the Clueless cowards. Still, it’s nice to be back at least where I’m on solid ground with my own society.
I arrived in Florida for a nice 2 week vacation with my family and basically I’ve been just chilling out. There is nothing major planned or any activities to speak of on my agenda. It’s decompression mode for me after doing over 100 gigs in 115 days in Europe! There are rumors that I might be doing a gig while i’m here but that seems unlikely do to the fact that I sold my Stratacoustic in Copenhagen to a nice Mexican named Fernando! So I’ve hit the ground in FL with no PA and no guitar. Just a mic, cables and harmonicas! So if I can score a guitar to use for the gig that I might have, I’ll be able to do it. I did put strings on my sister’s cheap Yamaha acoustic and would use that save for the fact that it has no built in pickup system. Maybe I will buy a cheap one to throw in it for the gig. In any case I leave it open to Fait or the Universe as to whether I do play while here.
The weather has been nice and it’s not too warm yet so that’s a plus I must say! Gonna try to get in a little Sun while i’m here because Kasper the friendly Ghost would be scared if he saw me right now! Anyway, that’s the 2 minute update on what’s up. I will post some pics as I take them. My US cell is now on if you have the number and want to get in touch. Aloha!
